Service Coordinator - Enhanced Caseload Team (Bilingual Korean/English Req.)

Salary Range

$4,603 to $6,759

Summary

Under the immediate direction of the Enhanced Caseload Supervisor, incumbent will provide enhanced service coordination to persons with developmental disabilities and their families. Will manage a 1:40 caseload ratio of clients currently served by the Center with low and/or no POS expenditures. Utilizing a Person Centered approach this position will work to identify barriers in accessing services and supports, enhance relationship between client, family and Center, empower individuals to partner with Center and other community agencies, and assist in identification of new resources that are culturally relevant to our community. Incumbent will also work in collaboration with the Cultural Specialist and other Center departments to identify innovative approaches to service coordination.  

Education & Experience

To perform effectively in this position, incumbent must have a bachelor’s degree in social, behavioral or life science, or special education, and three years of professional-related experience at Lanterman Regional Center. A master’s degree may be substituted for one year of required experience.

Incumbent must also have a working knowledge of developmental disabilities and the parent/professional partnership and a strong knowledge of current techniques and trends of Person-Centered Planning. Will possess exceptional oral and written communication skills, strong computer skills to include word processing, storage and retrieval, as well as strong organizational skills. Will have demonstrated collaboration skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with culturally diverse families, service providers and the community-at-large. Must have previous active participation in agency workgroups, training sessions or Center-wide events. This position may require evenings and/or weekends.

Valid California driver’s license, current automobile insurance and adequate transportation to fulfill position responsibility is also required.
