Quality Assurance Specialist - Community Services (Bilingual Spanish/English Req.)

Salary Range

$5,017 to $7,367

Summary

Under the general direction of the Manager, Quality Assurance, the Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for conducting monitoring and program evaluation activities, and non-residential services as assigned. Recommends service improvements and monitors compliance and applicable laws and regulations. The incumbent works with service coordination staff in conducting abuse investigations and complaints involving service providers. Position also provides technical assistance, consultation, and training to service providers and regional center staff to enhance the support and services available for clients and their families.

Education & Experience

To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent will possess strong knowledge of current values and practices in the field of developmental disabilities; specifically knowledge of Title 17 and Title 22 regulations. Will communicate effectively both orally and in writing as position required the ability to write clear reports and recommendations. Incumbent will also be able to make oral presentations, organize and prepare written materials, and be able to plan and schedule work and set priorities. In addition, incumbent will work well independently and in a team setting, be able work cooperatively with service providers, and possess strong conflict resolution skills. Strong PC proficiency is required. 
 
Bachelor’s degree in a planning, social science, or health discipline plus 3 years of increasingly responsible related professional experience in a health or social services agency (at least one year of which must have been in the field of developmental disabilities). Substantial equivalents may be substituted for the above requirements.
 
Valid California driver’s license, current automobile insurance and adequate transportation to fulfill the position responsibility are also required.

Bilingual Spanish/English required.
