Provider Specialist - Community Services
Salary Range
$4,871 to $7,153
Summary
Under the general direction of the director, Community Services, the provider specialist will be responsible for screening and vetting individuals and agencies seeking to be endorsed to provide services to Regional Center clients, and assisting those that meet criteria, qualifications and service expectations to complete the vendorization process. The incumbent will also provide technical assistance to current providers seeking to add services or make changes to their current vendored services. In addition, the incumbent participates in abuse/complaint investigations and other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent is required to have working knowledge of planning and development and knowledge of Title 17 and Title 22 regulations. The incumbent will also possess the ability to perform arithmetic computations quickly and with a high level of accuracy and have a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook. Will also possess strong organizational skills, the ability to analyze data and write clear, accurate and concise reports and will communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, collaborate well with team of professionals and mentor and work cooperatively with service providers.
A Bachelor’s degree in planning, social science, or health discipline plus four years of experience in a health or social service agency, with at least one year of experience providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Substantial equivalents may be substituted for the above requirement.
Valid California driver’s license, current automobile insurance and adequate transportation to fulfill the position responsibility are also required.
