California law and regulation requires that regional centers display on their Web sites information about the dollar value of services they purchase for clients. These data (called "purchase of service" or "POS" data) must be reported separately by clients' ethnic/racial group, langauge and diagnosis.
Understanding Your HCBS Rights on 02/10
DDS is excited to announce an upcoming training opportunity, Understanding Your HCBS Rights, presented in partnership with Alo Consultation. This webinar, geared towards individuals who receive services and their families, will explain the HCBS (home and community-based services) requirements that took effect in March 2023. Spanish and ASL interpretation will be provided at the time of the webinar, and additional language interpretations can be arranged upon request. The materials will also be translated and available to download.
This webinar will:
- Teach about the principles behind the HCBS requirements (like accessing the community, choice in services and supports, the right to have visitors, and more…)
- Let the audience hear from individuals about their experiences with the HCBS principles
- Demonstrate how to talk with service providers or staff about the HCBS principles
