California law and regulation requires that regional centers display on their Web sites information about the dollar value of services they purchase for clients. These data (called "purchase of service" or "POS" data) must be reported separately by clients' ethnic/racial group, langauge and diagnosis.
Success Defined 2011: A Student-Centered Transition Planning Project
Success Defined 2011 is a student-centered transition project designed for students, families, and teachers to work in concert with each other to develop and implement successful transition plans for high school youth. We are in our second year and have learned a great deal about what students, families, and teachers are asking for: 1) Resources, 2) Planning Tools and Strategies, and 3) Community Connections. This year, we will offer a break-out session for teachers interested in exploring more options available for their students.
This training is offered "free of charge" thanks to second-year funding from the California Health Incentives Improvement Project.
However, space is limited and registration is required.
For registration and questions, contact Sharon Galloway, coordinator, Transition to Adulthood Projects, Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, UC Davis MIND Institute, at sharon.galloway@ucdmc.ucdavis.edu or 916.703.0227 (office).
