Self-Determination Program Information Sessions - English
The Self-Determination Program (SDP) is a voluntary, alternative to the traditional way of providing Regional Center services.
Lanterman will be holding information sessions monthly in English on the second Tuesday of every month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Lanterman.
Who is eligible for the SDP?
- Must be a Lanterman client over the age of 3
- Live at home or in community
(Not eligible if you live in certain types of long-term care facilities, unless you’re in the process of moving into the community)
- Be willing to receive training, attend a mandatory information session and comply with the program’s rules

Due to security reasons, access to the building requires that all visitors carry a picture ID.
Parking: Available in the parking structure behind Lanterman on Berendo Avenue. Parking tickets will not be validated. Parking fees are $6.50 prior to 10 a.m. entry, otherwise the rate is $2 for every 15 minutes with a maximum rate of $16 for all day parking. There is metered parking on the street. Watch street signs. Lanterman is 2 blocks west of the Metro Red Line Wilshire/Vermont Station.
