Reaching Children Through Play in Experiential Play Therapy
Children approach therapy at an experiential level through play and play activities. In this seminar attendees will be introduced to Experiential Play Therapy (Norton & Norton), a developmentally based model of play therapy to reach children through play activities and provide effective treatment for emotional and behavioral problems. Imaginative play techniques that are developmentally sensitive and provide immediate access the child's emotional pain and trauma experiences will be taught through interactive learning with live play session video illustrations.

Ken is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor with the Association for Play Therapy. He is an instructor in the Play Therapy Professional Certification program at the University of California San Diego. He presents at national and international conferences. He is a clinical supervisor at The Guidance Center in Long Beach, California, and the founder and Education Director for Play Therapy Seminars.
