Pediatric Nutrition 101
A child’s nutritional status has great influence on the child’s affect, focus, cognition, energy and, ultimately, their success in school and therapy. Your intervention can either support or hinder the child’s growth and development.
This introductory-level course will explore the basics of nutrition as applied to pediatric feeding therapy as well as provide strategies for integrating principles of health promotion nutrition into community programs to encourage lifelong wellness.
This conference is designed for the professional working with young children or children at risk/with developmental disabilities or special health care needs. This includes occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, physical therapists, child development specialists, teachers, administrators, behavioral therapists and nurses.
