DDS Dashboard - Quality Assessments
The National Core Indicators (NCI) Survey gives individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families the opportunity to voluntarily and confidentially participate in surveys to share their experiences on access to and use of regional center and community services.
- Survey responses help California learn how it is doing compared to other states.
- Survey responses help the regional centers see what they are doing well and what they can improve.
DDS RC Dashboard
DDS monitors the performance of regional centers to ensure they uphold the values of the Lanterman Act and meet obligations outlined in DDS contracts, state law and regulations. Below are the categories used to oversee regional center efforts and activities. Each of the reports listed are updated annually. The reports include either calendar year or fiscal year data and reflect the most recent data available. See the individual reports for more information.

NCI Quality Assessments Reports
The National Core Indicators (NCI) program is a collaborative effort between the Human Services Research Institute (HSRI) and the National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services (NASDDDS). It is nationally recognized as a valuable source of information about individuals with developmental disabilities receiving services across a large sample of states. The information is gathered by surveying individuals with developmental disabilities and their families about their satisfaction with the services they receive and their overall quality of life.

Purchase of Services Data - Reporting
The Lanterman Act (Section 4519.5 of the Welfare and Institutions Code) requires all regional centers to provide a report of our expenditures across identified demographic groups of our clients (eg by disability, by age, by race or ethnicity, or by language) and to hold a public meeting with stakeholders regarding the data. Lanterman Regional Center has collaborated with the Department of Developmental Services to prepare this report.
