Administrator Certificate Program
The Administrator Certification Program is administered by the Administrator Certification Section (ACS) of the Community Care Licensing Division, is legislatively mandated, and is designed and intended to upgrade the knowledge and educational levels of persons currently employed as administrators and persons wishing to become administrators of RCFEs, ARFs and GHs. Please Note: Lanterman does not offer Continuing Education Units (CEUS) for RCFE renewal.
Direct Support Professional Training (DDS)
The Direct Support Professional Training (DSPT) is a competency-based training program that is mandatory for all Direct Support Professionals (DSP) working in licensed community care facilities vendored by regional centers. The DSPT is divided into two equal segments of 35 hours each to be completed in successive years for a total of 70 hours. DSPs who are mandated to meet the training requirement, may opt to meet it by passing the Challenge Test for each 35-hour training program.

Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF) Orientation Training
Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF) are health facilities licensed by the Licensing and Certification Division of the California Department of Public Health to provide 24-hour-per-day services.
Effective October 1, 2011, Health and Safety Code Section 1268.6 PDF requires all new applicants to attend a mandatory sixteen-hour orientation program approved by the Department of Developmental Services. The program packet must contain a copy of the certificate demonstrating proof of attendance of the sixteen-hour new provider orientation training. It is the responsibility of the applicant/designee to obtain this mandatory training prior to initial licensure of an intermediate care facility for habilitative or nursing services.
