The State of California minimum wage increases to $12.00 per hour for employers with 26 or more employees and $11.00 per hour for employers with 25 or fewer employees on January 1, 2019. The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) has been allocated additional funds by the Legislature for dissemination to service providers to meet the increased minimum wage mandate. It is important to note that the funds allocated by DDS are solely to meet a service provider's costs to increase employee/staff wages to $12.00 per hour (or $11.00 per hour based on the number of employees) and the associated mandated costs (i.e. Social Security, Medicare and workers’ compensation). Please click on the link below to read the letter from DDS, then click on the Workbook link to complete your request for a rate adjustment. SPECIAL NOTE: Only one rate adjustment request per workbook. You must submit one workbook for each vendor number. If a vendor number has multiple rates that are impacted by the minimum wage increase, you must submit one workbook for each sub-code rate. REMINDER: The deadline to submit is March 1, 2019. Requests submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
Learn More About Lanterman’s Service Provider Advisory Committee and Attend Monthly SPAC Meetings
Dear Lanterman Service Provider,
The purpose of this letter is to invite you to join us at the monthly meetings held by Lanterman Regional Center’s Service Provider Advisory Committee (SPAC). Meetings are generally held on the first Wednesday of the month from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
SPAC provides input and feedback to the regional center on policy, procedures and budget issues that may affect how services are provided to regional center clients and their families. Attending SPAC meetings also gives you the opportunity to get up to date information on what is happening in our community. Topics may include legislative, advocacy and budget updates, as well as quality assurance and training opportunities. It is also an opportunity to hear from other service providers and discuss common issues.
SPAC meets at a different location each month to give us the opportunity to see a variety of programs. We encourage non-SPAC members to consider hosting one of our meetings. The Committee is comprised of providers representing the geography of the Lanterman catchment area, as well as the various services provided to regional center clients. This enables us to stay at the forefront of what might be happening in those arenas if advocacy efforts are necessary or to further educate the community about the different and innovative programs offered in the Lanterman community.
Click here to see a list of members appointed to SPAC by Lanterman's board of directors. Members represent a variety of programs.
Members are appointed to a two-year term, with five members appointed each year. Members may serve a maximum of 10 years. The SPAC chair also sits on the Lanterman Regional Center Board of Directors.

Additional information about the SPAC meeting sites mentioned above is availale on the SPAC page on the Lanterman Web site at www.lanterman.org/spac.
On behalf of the Lanterman Regional Center provider community and SPAC, we encourage you to attend these very informative meetings. We want to hear from you as to how we can make them more informational, or if there are specific topics or educational training that you or your staff could benefit from.
Please feel free to call any SPAC member listed to find out more or if you have questions. You may also contact Karen Ingram, Lanterman's Director of Community Services, at 213.252.5694 or email@example.com.
Thanks again for all of the support you provide to our community.
