Under supervision from the Manager of Audits and Contracts, this position assists with and conducts fiscal and compliance audits and prepares written reports on findings. This position will determine if records are in compliance with the state’s regulations and Regional Center policy and procedure. This position will assist with the development of contracts and amendments, monitor progress, review invoices and prepare reports as necessary. This position will also assist in efforts related to the Family Cost Participation Program and Annual Family Program Fee.
Education & Experience
The incumbent must have knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and procedures and their application. Will be able to communicate effectively, understand, interpret and apply State and Federal regulations. Will possess effective time management skills, the ability to analyze data and draw sound conclusions, complete written and oral reports as well as establish working relationships internally and externally.
BA Degree in Accounting or Business Administration and/or Contract Administration is required accompanied by four years of increasingly responsible accounting experience of which one year must have included conducting financial audits or any combination of training and/or experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities.
A valid California driver’s license and current automobile insurance is a must. Candidate will also have adequate transportation to fulfill position responsibilities as required.
