February 6 ~ Medicaid Day of Action!

With Medicaid being at risk of cuts, we need your help to take action and make calls to your Congressmember. Medicaid provides essential care and financial security to nearly 80 million people – including people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

Federal funds pay a significant percentage of services individuals with I/DD rely on such as Medicaid, or Medi-Cal, as it is called in California. These services include health care, In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS), and those paid for by regional centers.

Learn more about Medicaid and what you can do to help and how to contact your elected officials, including sample scripts and letters: https://dredf.org/hands-off-our-medicaid/

Proposals to cut funding threaten the health and well-being of millions. It’s crucial to protect Medicaid. Join the Medicaid Day of Action today and call your member of Congress to Protect Medicaid: 866.426.2631
