Transportation

What's On This Page

Transportation plays an important role in enabling people with disabilities to travel and live independently. Depending on where you live, your destination, and your physical needs, transportation choices might include public transportation, paratransit and accessible taxi services. Adults should be assessed to determine their ability to travel independently on public transportation or paratransit. If the individual has demonstrated this potential, Lanterman may provide mobility training services. Contact your service coordinator to learn more about these options.

Generic resources for funding must be explored prior to the utilization of funding by the Regional Center. Typical generic transportation services include ACCESS, Dial-a-ride or nonmedical transportation through regular MTA.
