California law and regulation requires that regional centers display on their Web sites information about the dollar value of services they purchase for clients. These data (called "purchase of service" or "POS" data) must be reported separately by clients' ethnic/racial group, langauge and diagnosis.
Self-Determination Program Information Sessions - English
The Self-Determination Program (SDP) is a voluntary, alternative to the traditional way of providing Regional Center services.
Lanterman will be holding information sessions monthly in English on the second Tuesday of every month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Lanterman.
Who is eligible for the SDP?
- Must be a Lanterman client over the age of 3
- Live at home or in community
(Not eligible if you live in certain types of long-term care facilities, unless you’re in the process of moving into the community) - Be willing to receive training, attend a mandatory information session and comply with the program’s rules

Due to security reasons, access to the building requires that all visitors carry a picture ID.
Parking: Available in the parking structure behind Lanterman on Berendo Avenue. Parking tickets will not be validated. Parking fees are $6.50 prior to 10 a.m. entry, otherwise the rate is $2 for every 15 minutes with a maximum rate of $16 for all day parking. There is metered parking on the street. Watch street signs. Lanterman is 2 blocks west of the Metro Red Line Wilshire/Vermont Station.
