Healthy Relationships for Adults (18+) on the Autism Spectrum: Understanding Sex and Safety Virtual Workshop Series

Foothill Autism Alliance brings you the GET SAFE program, which provides persons with developmental disabilities critical safety and preparedness education using realistic scenarios, interactive activities, simple and appropriate language and examples, repetition of key ideas, and humor. All program material is presented in a fun and engaging manner to help participants retain critical information that will allow them to safely respond to potentially dangerous situations based on their lifestyle, abilities and surroundings. Our experienced trainers encourage participants to engage in honest discussions. The six-part workshop series will cover topics that include basic sex education, self-advocacy, and safety concepts that lead to healthy relationships. The workshop series begins with a session for parents and caregivers. Each session will include ample time for questions and answers.
