When Psychiatric Emergencies Involve Law Enforcement

10am–12pm

This training will include criteria, rules and will provide participants with a deeper understanding of what happens when Police institute a 51/50 psychiatric 72-hour hold. This course is designed to train Administrators, Day Program and Residential Program Staff and Direct Support Professionals in basic intervention and prevention techniques. This is the May 2019 in-service.

Special Workshops

Lanterman's Koch-Young Resource Center presents Toddler Talk, a four-session parent/child speech program designed for children 2 to 3 1/2 years of age with Smile Pediatric Therapy and Diagnostics. Parents will learn tips and techniques to build language skills and the program will feature, environmental sounds; letters, numbers, colors; animals; the city; food; and active bodies. The first session in the series starts on May 7, 2019.
