Each year, Lanterman Regional Center hosts community meetings to provide our key partners – individuals with developmental disabilities, their families and our service providers – the opportunity to give us feedback on the future direction and long‐term goals of the Center./Cada año, el Centro Regional Lanterman proporciona reuniones para la comunidad lo cual incluye – las personas con discapacidades del desarrollo, sus familias y nuestros proveedores de servicios – para darle la oportunidad de comentar sobre la futura dirección y objetivos para el futuro del Centro./매년 랜터먼 리저널 센터는 커뮤티니 미팅을 주최하여 센터의 주요 파트너들인 발달장애인들, 그들의 가족들과 서비스 공급업자들에게 센터의 향후 방향 및 장기 목표에 대한 피드백 (feedback)을  제공할 수 있는 기회를 제공합니다.

Sign, Say and Play: A Baby Signs Program

Special Workshops

Lanterman's Koch-Young Resource Center presents Sign, Say and Play: A Baby Signs Program. Gives babies a way to “talk” with their parent - before they can talk. For parents and children birth to 3 years old to attend together, families will learn useful signs for mealtime, bedtime, bathtime, getting dressed, pets and the park. In addition, parents will learn simple ways to support their baby’s intellectual development. The first session in a six-session series starts on September 7, 2017.

Music and Movement: A Parent and Me Music Series on Thursdays

3pm–4pm

Lanterman presents Music and Movement, which brings together families in sharing songs, instrument play, rhythm chants and movement activities in a relaxed, playful, non-performance-oriented setting. Music is learned through developmentally appropriate activities that support and respect the unique learning styles of very young children from 2 to 4 years of age. Infants, toddlers and preschoolers participate at their own levels in family-style classes of mixed ages.

Lanterman's Koch-Young Resource Center presents Toddler Talk, a six-session parent/child speech program designed for children 2 to 3 1/2 years of age with Smile Pediatric Therapy and Diagnostics. Parents will learn tips and techniques to build language skills and the program will feature, environmental sounds; letters, numbers, colors; animals; the city; food; and active bodies. The first session in the series starts on September 12, 2017.

Each year, Lanterman Regional Center hosts community meetings to provide our key partners – individuals with developmental disabilities, their families and our service providers – the opportunity to give us feedback on the future direction and long‐term goals of the Center./Cada año, el Centro Regional Lanterman proporciona reuniones para la comunidad lo cual incluye – las personas con discapacidades del desarrollo, sus familias y nuestros proveedores de servicios – para darle la oportunidad de comentar sobre la futura dirección y objetivos para el futuro del Centro./매년 랜터먼 리저널 센터는 커뮤티니 미팅을 주최하여 센터의 주요 파트너들인 발달장애인들, 그들의 가족들과 서비스 공급업자들에게 센터의 향후 방향 및 장기 목표에 대한 피드백 (feedback)을  제공할 수 있는 기회를 제공합니다.

This partnership is only successful when all parties involved have an opportunity to participate, and one avenue utilized by the Center to ensure that all persons interested in participating are able to is at our annual community meetings./Esta colaboración sólo tiene éxito cuando todos los contribuyentes tienen la oportunidad de participar, y es una manera que el Centro utiliza para que todas las personas interesadas puedan participar en nuestras reuniones anuales de la comunidad. 이 파트너십은 모든 관련 당사자에게 참여할 수 있는 기회가 주어질 때만 성공할 수 있으며,  참여를 원하는 모든 분들에게 연례 커뮤니티 회의에  참석할 수 있도록 하는 것도 하나의 활용 방법입니다.

Sign, Say and Play: A Baby Signs Program

Lanterman's Koch-Young Resource Center presents Sign, Say and Play: A Baby Signs Program. Gives babies a way to “talk” with their parent - before they can talk. For parents and children birth to 3 years old to attend together, families will learn useful signs for mealtime, bedtime, bathtime, getting dressed, pets and the park. In addition, parents will learn simple ways to support their baby’s intellectual development. The first session in a six-session series starts on September 7, 2017.

Music and Movement: A Parent and Me Music Series on Thursdays

3pm–4pm

Lanterman presents Music and Movement, which brings together families in sharing songs, instrument play, rhythm chants and movement activities in a relaxed, playful, non-performance-oriented setting. Music is learned through developmentally appropriate activities that support and respect the unique learning styles of very young children from 2 to 4 years of age. Infants, toddlers and preschoolers participate at their own levels in family-style classes of mixed ages.

Navigating the Special Needs System: Service Coordination and Advocacy Training Series

This course is offered in-person over four consecutive weeks and online as a four-part webinar, and provides families with the necessary skills and knowledge about the regional center system to make them informed partners and advocates for their family member with special needs.
