The Association of Regional Center Agencies (ARCA) is reaching out to request your support for SB 422 (Grayson) California Workforce Development Board: developmental services. By reviewing expert research and evaluating proposed solutions, the CWDB can recommend policy actions to address this crisis.
ARCA is deeply committed to ensuring a robust service network for Californians with developmental disabilities and their families. However, California is currently facing significant challenges in access to care for individuals with developmental disabilities due to a substantial workforce shortage. SB 422 aims to develop actionable strategies to alleviate workforce shortages in California’s developmental services system. By engaging a diverse array of stakeholders and leveraging the expertise of the Department of Developmental Services, the bill seeks to create a comprehensive plan to ensure that individuals with developmental disabilities receive the support they need.
