Uniform Holiday Schedule

Regional Center’s are prohibited from paying for services on 14 mandatory holiday closure dates at any of the following:

  • work activity programs,
  • activity centers,
  • adults development centers,
  • behavior management programs,
  • social recreational programs,
  • adaptive skills,
  • infant development programs,
  • program support group day services,
  • socialization training programs,
  • client/parent support behavior intervention training programs,
  • community integration training programs,
  • community activities support services and
  • creative arts programs

as defined in title 17 of the California Code of Regulations. In addition, regional centers are prohibited from paying for transportation provided by any source to any of these programs on mandatory closure dates.

Please be aware that Service Providers may have additional program closure dates as part of their business operation plans.

2014 Uniform Holiday Closure Dates

  1. January 1 – New Year's Day                                  
  2. January 20 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day                              
  3. February 17 – President’s Day                                  
  4. March 31                                     
  5. May 26 – Memorial Day                                     
  6. July 4 – Independence Day                               
  7. September 1 – Labor Day                                           
  8. October 13
  9. November 11 – Veteran’s Day
  10. November 27 – Thanksgiving Day
  11. November 28 – Day after Thanksgiving
  12. December 24 – Christmas Eve
  13. December 25 – Christmas Day
  14. December 26 – Day after Christmas
