Position is responsible for the maintenance of a variety files which includes sorting, classifying, indexing, cross-referencing documents for filing and searching/retrieving files or contents as necessary. Ensures documents are accurately filed within appropriate time limits, schedules appointments, processes related paperwork and distributes appropriate lists required in specific units in a timely fashion. Compiles, computes, tabulates, and verifies data; prepares routine reports, assists in preparing special reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Verifies information on computer printouts; and resolves discrepancies. Position also requires the daily processing of mail; coordination of mass mailings, maintenance and updates of manuals to ensure they are current at all times.
Education & Experience
Associates degree in a social services field, or equivalent college course work combined with a minimum of two to three years of administrative assistant experience is required. Candidate will be able to multi-task, be detail oriented, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Bilingual Spanish/English required.
