Resource Developer

Salary Range

$3,872 to $5,858


Position Summary

The Resource Developer provides consultation and program development services to new and existing programs in all vendor categories. This includes needs assessments, vendor solicitation, consultation on program designs, vendorization, budget and cost statement analysis, quality assurance, provider investigations and other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Abilities

To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have knowledge of:

  • A wide variety of community resources.
  • State Developmental Centers, IMDs and other locked facilities, and transition issues for individuals moving from them into the community.
  • Planning and development models, best practices and research methodologies.
  • Basic needs and approaches for working successfully with persons with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
  • Title 17 and Title 22.

To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have the ability to:

  • Develop plans and evaluate alternative solutions to various community problems encountered during program development.
  • Analyze data and write clear, concise reports.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with a variety of individuals and agencies.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

To perform effectively in the position, the incumbent must have:

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Good computer skills, including Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook.

Education & Experience

A bachelor’s degree in planning, social sciences or health discipline, plus four years of experience is required. A master’s degree in a related subject may be substituted for two years of experience. At least two years of experience providing services to persons with developmental disabilities is desirable. 

A valid California Driver’s license, current automobile insurance and access to reliable transportation.
