California law and regulation requires that regional centers display on their Web sites information about the dollar value of services they purchase for clients. These data (called "purchase of service" or "POS" data) must be reported separately by clients' ethnic/racial group, langauge and diagnosis.
The SEEDS Program for Foster and Adoptive Parents and Caregivers and their Young Children
The SEEDS Program (Strategies for Enhancing Early Development Success) is a 20-week program that is free for eligible families, involves both the parent and the child, and includes a parent education and advocacy group, a parenting skills group and a parent-child music and play group.
Designed to help foster and adoptive parents and caregivers (English-speaking) with a child between 1 and 24 months of age with possible prenatal alcohol exposure, the program will help participants learn how to find services for their child, how to better understand and respond to their child's feelings and behavior, and how to have more positive playtime with their child.
