Understanding Special Education Due Process

The Inclusion Institute presents Richard Breen, Regional Presiding Administrative Law Judge, California Office of Administrative Hearings, as their first speaker in their 2014 Speaker Series.

This presentation provides information and tools for when families and school districts disagree on placements or educational services for a child with disabilities, and epxlains how due process may be a last resort in resolving the dispute. This seminar is an opportunity to de-mystify what due process is and how it works, to learn common mistakes for families to avoid, and to gain insights into how judges decide outcomes.

This workshop is free of charge, but RSVP’s are required.

To RSVP, please call 818.543.4631 or e-mail melody.goodman@scdd.ca.gov and provide your name, email address, phone number, and any language translation needs by February 28, 2014.

Light refreshments will be served.

Please note we are unable to provide childcare.
