Aquarium of the Pacific 2013 Festival of Human Abilities on January 26 and 27

Come celebrate the creative spirit of people with disabilities. Join the Aquarium of the Pacific for their 10th annual Festival of Human Abilities on Saturday and Sunday, January 26 and 27, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Aquarium located at 100 Aquarium Way, Long Beach, CA, 90802.

Participate in free classes led by artists with disabilities. Experience the talents of people with disabilities including Team Hotwheelz, a wheelchair

Also featured at the festival will be Love in Motion, a sign language choir; Dat Nguyen, a world music guitarist who is blind; Kodi Lee, a singer who is blind and has autism; and Tommy Hollenstein, an artist who paints with his wheelchair wheels. At 1:40 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, the Aquarium will honor the late Zina Bethune, founder and artistic director of Theatre Bethune and its adaptive dance program, Infinite Dreams.

Sign language interpreters will be present at all major shows and an audio tour is available for those who are blind. Extra elevators and assistance dog relief areas will be available to the public. Download the flyer and present the coupon at the Aquarium ticket window to receive one free admission for one student or adult with a disability and one free admission for an attendant.
