Dina Richman, a 2007 graudate from UCLA School of Law, is an attorney with Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold LLP and concentrates her practice at the Los Angeles firm in the healthcare field and is well-versed in a wide variety of healthcare issues.

She shares, “My background in law, predominantly healthcare law, will bring valuable insight and experience to Lanterman’s board, particularly with respect to the legal, legislative and risk management challenges that the Center faces. I am particularly interested in funding and the ever-changing statutory/regulatory landscape. Even though the economy has improved since a few years ago, the regional center system still faces significant funding challenges, all while the state and federal government impose new operational and substantive requirements that the centers must comply with. My father, Keith Richman, served in the state Assembly, sparking my special interest in government affairs and I'm glad that I have had a part in developing solutions to these ongoing challenges and in trying to make the system sustainable long-term."

Richman adds, “My cousin Jack, now age 16, was diagnosed with epilepsy when he was 3 and has dealt with, and continues to deal with the significant effects of his disability. When I joined the board in 2010, my hope was to be able to use my skills and experience to benefit a worthwhile cause. During my years of service, I have learned what a vital role the regional center system plays in our community, and I am proud to be even a small part of that."
